What happens when you exceed your plan?

Usage over your monthly quota is tracked and billed transparently at the end of each billing period. You always see exactly what you've used and what you owe — no surprises.

Your firm admin can see real-time usage across all metrics at any time from Settings → Subscription. No need to wait for your bill to know where you stand.

📬 Overage billing

Overages are calculated at the end of each calendar month and invoiced separately from your subscription fee. They are billed via your payment method on file through PowerTranz.

Regularly exceeding your quota? Upgrading to the next plan tier is usually more cost-effective than consistent overages. Your firm admin can upgrade at any time from Settings → Subscription.

Pricing FAQ

Is there a setup fee?

No. There are no setup fees, onboarding fees, or implementation charges. You pay the monthly subscription and nothing else until you go over your included quotas.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes. Cancel from Settings → Subscription or contact support@lex.law. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period. We will export all your data for you on request.

What happens if I hit my user limit?

You can add additional users at BSD 25 per user per month. Alternatively, upgrade to the next plan tier which includes more users.

Can I change plans mid-month?

Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. Your system admin can change your plan from Settings → Subscription.

Do you offer non-profit or Bar Association discounts?

Contact sales@lex.law to discuss your situation. We consider applications from non-profit legal organisations and Bar-referred referrals on a case-by-case basis.

What currency are prices in?

All prices are in Bahamian Dollars (BSD). Since BSD is pegged 1:1 to USD, this is equivalent to USD pricing.

Is my data portable if I leave?

Yes. We provide a full data export — every database table scoped to your firm, all documents, and all audio files — in open formats (JSON and original file formats). You are never locked in.
